Was about to pull the trigger on a Benq gaming monitor.

I have a Dell IPS screen I use for work (need colour accuracy). It's pretty slow tho 30-40ms, so I figured I would get a second TN panel (possibly even 120hz) for games.

But do all these 120hz monitors only work with displayport or dual link dvi? I already use the displayport output to connect my dell. I think I have one single dvi port left. What are my options?

Thanks!

120 Hz works over dual link DVI as well. Your graphics card has a DL DVI output? If so then it's just a straight connect and it'll work.

Oh, I didn't realise some graphics cards outputted dual-dvi, i thought I would literally have to hook up a special cable with 2 dvi ends at one end.

Excellent, thanks!

no, it's a single port, but the port and the cable have more pins to handle the additional bandwidth. it's confusingly called dual-link but it's only 1 connection :)
