I rather stupidly lost my dual-link cables for my 120hz monitor (long story!) and i tried to aquire a new one off a well known auction site but it appears it doesn't work and just goes blurry in 120hz, then returns to normal in 60hz.

Would anyone have any idea why a dual link cable may not work? I just assumed if it has the pins then it surely would work.

Would this 100% work with 1080p 120hz below? anyone know?

Well i'm using a DVI-D from a 5yr old Dell computer with my 120hz screen so i'm presuming the one you got off Ebay was a crappy cable. I'd presume that this cable would work. If not, you can always return under DSR :)

i dont really think its the cable bu rather the monitor/gpu settings, does your gpu even support 120hz? but getting a good quality dvid is always a good thing to do instead of buying cheap crap of ebay

Hi, thanks for the replies :)

I just assumed a dual link cable ws a dual link cable tbh, a bit like hdmi cables !

It appears this one is no good anyway. My setup is a 120hz monitor + 580gtx so it should be capable of 120hz ...! :D nah its always been fine until i misplaced the wire and ive got 2 of these 120hz monitors to compare with and 1 working wire so very clearly a problem with this recently bought wire.

Its frustrating though as i was hoping to get one for £2 !
