I currently have a 24" HannsG 1080P monitor. Nothing fancy.

Thinking of getting something a little better. This then raises the question of either going higher resolution or 120Hz.

I won't be playing in 3D, so does the 120Hz really make a difference normally?? I've heard it's supposed to be good for gaming and super smooth?

I also currently have a GTX670 (overclocked), would this struggle with higher resolutions?

there are a load of threads about this issue on the same page you posted this on.

120hz is smoother when on your desktop. and if you get over 60fps then it will be smoother in games.

im going higher res personally, for the double bonus of everything looking crisper in games but also better movies and general pc use. im using a 27" display and couldnt go smaller.

When I have the funds I'll be going 120hz as I tend to bias my system for gaming and live with the limitations for desktop work (plus I will keep my old monitor and use that for extra real estate)

Can't be long before we see 1440/1600p panels at 120hz.

All I want is a 27"or 30" monitor at 2560x 1440 or 1600 @ 120hz, & I will be very happy.
