Hi, I bought the Acer GD245HQ Acer monitor

If I select the "120hz" option, the screen is blurred.

I cant make a screenshot of it obviously to explain how it looks, but its like the resolution is back to 640*480 but larger...

Any ideas what to do?

thanks

I didnt know there was a difference. I was using my old cable.

Ty for help, 120hz is now working, counter strike source never felt better

For films the screen feels nice because of the 1920*1080p resolution, rather than 1920*1200.

for fps games it just almost feels like a new updated game.

would I be able to have both my samsung syncmaster attached and this screen whilst the acer keeps its 120hz and the samsung goes back to 60hz?

I would have thought so yes. Set the screen size and Hz in nvidia control panel. I have used a crt at 1024x768 85Hz and lcd at 1680x1050 60Hz on a 4870X2.

I definitely rate 120Hz for gaming. My KDR in MW2 is roughly double on average when playing on my Samsung 2233rz compared to when I'm playing on a 60Hz TFT.
