I have a CM Stacker at the moment with the standard fans on a fan controller, but they are not great!

Just been looking around and have found these!

SilenX iXtrema Pro 14dBA Quiet Fan

Rated dBA 14
Dimensions 120x120x25mm
RPM 1500
CFM 64
m³/h ~108,8
Voltage 12V
Current Draw 0.16A
Power Consumption 1.92W
Bearings Hybrid Sleeve

I would be looking at replacing my 2 front intakes and rear out with these. Can anyone suggest anything better? I will still hook them into the fan controller anyway!

Obviously the DBA rating is low, but does that mean they are going to be near silent with a little adjustment?

unfortnate reality

Sadly,The silent X specification does not seem to fit the real world test.
The fan noise (at full speed) is as loud as my Tri cool fan set to Medium which means around 25 db.

I went through some review on quietPC forum last nite and found this

IMO S-FLEX 120mm Fan (1600 RPM, SFF21F) seems to be my winner, it is not the quietest but you can put a fan controller and undervolt it to 800 RPM which should quiet as the 800 RPM version.

On paper those are the best fans in existance, however their measurements, particularly sound measurements, are not accurate. If it did what it says it should do, then it would be silent and push a lot of air, however its practically impossible to get any fan to be 14dba, let alone get it to push 60cfm as well.
That means it will either not be that silent, not push that much air, or both.

I've tried one of their smaller fans, and i would say that the airflow was a lot less than specified. Those fans are pricey, but despite the lies on the specs i think they are pretty good. If you can afford it, i think it will be a good buy.

Get the 38mm ones if you can, or better still get a 120x38mm panaflo which should be better.
