Hi Guys

Need some advise on case fans, I have a coolermaster cm-690.

To go with the 3 fans that came with it i also purchases 3 of the following

Yate Loon D12SH

Admitingly they do create much more airflow that the standard ones, but they are just so blinking noisy.

Can someone recomend me a 120 mm fan which is better than the standard ones (CM -690 standard 1200rpm) yet still keeps a relitively low noise level.

Thanks in advance (also ones that come with screws would be helpful!)

The L version of the yate-loons probably. Alternatively, sharkoon silent eagle 1000 or 2000 if they're going to be volt-modded or put on a fan controller, or scythe S-flex, or noctua fans. The fans get more expensive towards the end of that list.

Noctua NF-P12 120mm are well worth it. you get rubber dampening fan fastners as well which reduce noise due to fan vibration. put the nf-p12 on max speed and you hardly be able to hear it.

Why not just get a fan controller? that way you can have them up high when you need the cooling power or on a lower setting when you want the silence.

PK!

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D

Introducing the high quality quiet 12cm fan with patent pending FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) technology. This "Fluid Dynamic Bearing" technology from SONY Corporation can provide a dramatic reduction in fan noise and prolong the life of your fan

Market Leading Low-Noise Level
S-FDB technology drastically eliminates the friction between the bearing and the shaft which makes this fan nearly inaudible to human ears. Additional suction magnet optimizes the magnetic force balance within the rotor to achieve absolute silence. To even further achieve the absolute silence, the fan is equipped with the Linear drive IC for reducing electromagnetic noise.

Outstanding Long Life of 150,00 Hours
Patent Pending "S-FDB" structure allows the fan to last up to 150,000 hours.

Anti-Shock Ability
Conventional ball bearing carries a point contacting structure for rotation. This gives a point supporting situations and dropping impact which can damage the ball bearing surface leading to irregular noise. The S-FDB carries a surface contact mechanism for improved anti-shock structure, which is 5 times stronger than the conventional ball bearing.
