Hi all

Looking to get 2 120mm front intake fans for my Antec P280 case as it didn't come included with any and I'd like to improve the temps in my case as there are only 3 exhaust fans fitted in there at the moment.

I have been looking at various fans but there are so many of them it's hard to choose. My main requirements would be for them to be relatively quiet, non LED, and have a decent CFM rating if possible too. Budget not an issue.

Suggestions?

Cheers

I've got some Corsair AF120 High Performance on order, but Scythe Gentle Typhoons are regarded as one of the best.

Do you have a fan controller?

Gentle Typhoons

No I don't have a proper fan controller but am looking to get one in the near future. I do have a rubbish one in the case itself but it doesn't appear to work very well and only sets to low or high. Yeah had a look at the Gentle Typhoons, they look decent. How about Akasa Apaches?

Never considered them over the typhoons. The 1850 typhoons may be loud but if you have a low switch that should work quite well. I don't think you can regret buying them considering how much air they push.

For me I chose between Corsair AF120 High Performance, GT1850's and Noiseblockers. I chose the Corsair because they have a high quality finish, braided cables, and good performance. I may regret not buying the GT1850s though. Took a chance.

I get my Corsairs Monday, can tell you what I think if you like.

the gt's or ap-15 as they are also knows as, are the choice for a lot of watercoolers.

i would recomend they be on a contoller of some kind. the best thing about them is the amount of air they push at the lowest speed is increadible, while being pretty quite.

Thanks for the advice guys, bought 2 GT 1850's in the end. Looking forward to getting them fitted and up and running :)

Gentle Typhoon 1150 rpm is quiet without a controller I assume. Gentle Typhoons are a safe choice, sell them everywhere regarded as amazing AF to noise ratio. If noise is a concern you should invest in a fan controller. I know my fans will be too loud for my liking until I choose a controller as well. You can get some controllers or low noise adapters for very little money.
