120mm or 140mm?

Hi,

I have the Bitfenix Shinobi case

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-019-BX

I'm looking to fill up some of the fan slots as I only have 1 at the back.

The top 2 fans support 120mm or 140mm and i was just wondering what the better option would be?

Thanks

I would say if your happy with temps dont touch it. Just because there is a space doesnt mean you have to fill it. If you have to install a fan always go bigger because they are more efficent and quiet than smaller fans. Hope this helps.

I'm not really happy with the temps. I would install 2 fans in the front bay, but there isnt much of a vent on the front of the bitfenix shinobi

Well of course temps are not only related to case airflow but from what I can see from this case I would go with 2 x 120mm at the front. Sure it looks like the fans would be fighting against that front grill but its better than nothing. I am big fan of lots of intake (excuse the pun). I would then go for one rear 120mm or one top 140mm at the rail. Try this first then experiment ie one top and rear together etc but I would always stay with 2 intakes. Hope this helps.

Bigger fans usually mean better airflow at low noise.

Fit the front 2 with 120mm fans, buy decent fans and seeing as the hard drives are going to be in front go for high static pressure fans.

What I would do is

Intake: 2x120mm front, 1x120mm bottom and 120mm rear intake though this depends on how you are cooling, if you are using an air cooler then make this an exhaust.

Could fit 2 exhaust 120 or 140mm fans to the top to in order to air heat out the case.
