Hi

I am currently running a SR1 360 radiator https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-030-BX with 3x Akasa Apache Black fans https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-057-AK.

I use a 4 pin PWM splitter that's connected to the motherboard header (Asus software controls the speed).

I am wondering if there are any fans better suited to radiator cooling. They really need to be 4 pin as I don't have a fan controller. Noise isnt really an issue as I have the fans running at low speed when the cpu is idle and faster when under load (benchmarking / gaming etc)

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850 RPM are the ones that usually get recommended, having said that I use the Apache's the same as you and love them. In fact just ordered another 6 :)

GT1850's or the swiftech cheaper alternative, vipers, apache, Noctua NF's, the list go's on tbh.

If its just a single 360 in the loop I'd look at the GT's/vipers/apache/Corsair SP fans. The more rad space you have the less picky you can be with fans :)

Its just a single 360 in the loop, atleast for now. The corsair SP fans looked good but as far as I can tell, they are only 3 pin which wont work too well without a fan controller.

If you don't have a fan controller your options become fairly limited to the apaches and vipers.

I would suggest looking into getting a controller, it'l open your options up :)

Any suggestions?

Part of the reason for not wanting a fan controller is that the top bay will be blocked by the rad I think, next will be cd/dvd, bottom 2 blocked by the res / pump combo so only leaving one. If I use that up, it makes filling the resa a bit of a pain.
