I upgraded the CPU cooler so I can get the most out of my 5800X (went from Noctua D9L to Scythe FUMA 2) but because the socket on the motherboard is located a bit higher up, the cooler is pushing against the fan above it, making it unusable, so I'm looking for a pair of 120mm slim fans (with PWM ideally) to replace the top 2 fans I have in NR200.
Noctua's slim fans are decent but expensive, I'd rather spend 20-25 quids on 2 or more fans instead of just 1, so that leaves me with 2 options,
- Scythe Kaze Flex Slim
- Arctic P12 Slim
The latter is the cheapest and would allow me to get 4 of them so I can replace all the case fans for consistency's sake, but how do they fare?
Also, if someone could tell me where to get the pins so I can fit the slim fans in NR200, that'd be great, the ones that came with the case are meant for 25mm thick fans, I know about clevis pins, but they don't have ridges/bumps and I'm concerned that they would eventually fall out, or am I worrying about nothing and the rubbers are strong enough to hold them in?
