Hello,
I wasn;t sure where to post this but here is my problem:

I am helping a friend try and sort out his email problems. He purchased a domain from 123-reg such as www.example.com and has an email address such as [email protected]. When I log in to his control panel at 123-reg.co.uk It tells me about POP3 Mail Boxes and for some reason there seem to be approx 15 of them all with slightly different names. What are these POP3 Mail Boxes and can I delete any of them as he just wants 1 single email address from thta domain. Also the names of the Mail Boxes do not correspond with the actual email address we want.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

Regards,
Neil

POP3 is the most common protocol used to retrieve email, and those mail boxes should refer to different accounts (addresses) setup for his domain. He can use as many or as few accounts as he wants, within the limits of whatever service he has from 123-reg.

Sorted the issue now, The problem was that the address he had set up was set to reject all incoming mail and a couple of other setting were incorrect but I ahve corrected it all now!
