Basically need the base unit and monitor. Have £1250 to spend. Doesnt need to be that good at gaming- but when games are played want to be able to play them well! prime use will be video encoding. Don't need dvd drives as already got them.

Please advise as to any changes. I will be overclocking.

The reason i havent gone for the Tuniq 120 or an 8800GT is because they're both out of stock, and unlikely to be in stock in the near future. And gaming is that important anyway.

Thanks again guys.

Get the non nvidia 9700 it's a better cooler, imo the 640Mb GTS is worth the extra cash, especially as you're getting a 22" monitor, instead of the raptor get another 500GB drive and have a Raid 1, or 2 more and Raid 5

Out with the Raptor and get 2 or 3 Samsung 500GB
Change the PSU to a Corsair version of your choice
Change AS 5 to MX2 better and saves £4
And don't know if your aware that if using 32 bit OS it will only use around 3GB or RAM so Vista 64 would be ideal for you.

I don't get why everyone is attacking the Raptor. If you have the money then it's well worth it.

It'd be criminal not to wait for the 8800GT though! ;)

Just a word on the PSU the new Gigabyte PSU are meant to be very very good. Do a google search, there are some stonking reviews on them. Will be getting one myself. :)
