125w cpu on mobo that supports 95w cpu risks

hi i'm just wondering if it could be done or would a be a stupid idea putting the (AMD 8350 FX) into an (Asrock N68-GS4/USB3 FX) or would it just be wise to put the (AMD 8300 FX) in instead..

Where did you see that?

I took the CPU model numbers from the CPU but only those referenced @ 125w though - cannot see any references to 8300

shame about the 8350... might go with the 8310 which is stock 3.4 but turbo to 4.3

stupid idea that board (from the pictures) has no vrm cooling, the chip will throttle back after about a minute running flat out

Why two threads? I wouldn't put any FX8000 or FX6000 series cpu's in that board. It's a poor board with only 4+1 power phases and no vrm cooling at all.
