hi i'm just wondering if it could be done or would a be a stupid idea putting the (AMD 8350 FX) into an (Asrock N68-GS4/USB3 FX) or would it just be wise to put the (AMD 8300 FX) in instead..

Where did you see that?

I took the CPU model numbers from the CPU but only those referenced @ 125w though - cannot see any references to 8300

FD6350FRW6KHK - 6350
FD6130FRW6KGU - 6130
FD4350FRW4KHK - 4350
FD4200FRW4KGU - 4200
FD4170FRW4KGU(BE) - 4170
FD4130FRW4MGU - 4130
FD6350FRW6KHK - 3650

oh wait...it's listed as 95w not 125w

FD8300WMW8KHK

Why two threads? I wouldn't put any FX8000 or FX6000 series cpu's in that board. It's a poor board with only 4+1 power phases and no vrm cooling at all.
