1280x1024 res problem with BF2 - odd one ?

Have just installed BF2, after asking here updated to 1.41 patch to get 1280x1024 res.

When i run at 1280x1024 the screen disappears/offsets approx. 25mm to the left. ( i.e 25mm of the graphic is missing on the left side and a blank/black space is on the right ).

A screen grab shows the full graphics ( no cut off ).

If i run at 1024x768 there is no problem.

I've tried on both monitors with the same result.

Has anyone else had this or can anyone offer any advice ?

( Gainward 24pipe agp 7800gs+ / Drivers 91.47 )

Try auto ajust on your monitor if you have that?

Are you using DVI or VGA? As Macabre said, can you manually adjust it?

Try enabling the refresh lock to "same as desktop" (or equivalent).

DVI to VGA on both monitors.

If i adjust it wont that affect all screen ( i.e windows desktop ) settings though ?

Thanks for the advice, i hang my head in shame .

After changing my graphics card recently my monitors were set to 60 hertz, have changed them both to 76 hertz and everthings fine.

I am a tool
