Surely be much better off getting a 12700k and then jumping to Raptor Lake than just spending almost the same on 1 chip that will be beaten within the year.

Same as everyone else i'd imagine. I'd also imagine them to be more ££££ once the OCUK tax has been added. Think there competing with Asus.

as intel always do, yes but it is a way to get your hands on one of the best samples in the SKU rather than going down the lottery route.

the 12900k is already nuts for what is like 5% more game performance than a $200 i5, so we're just discussing levels of nuts here

an i9 is an investment, you would hope it’s outlasts a i5 by a good few years if it’s just games your playing.

there is still a lot of people using i7 4790k’s that was told if a silly buy for gaming. But the KS is just silly.
