News publishers take paywall-blocker 12ft.io offline

12ft.io was taken offline on July 14th.

It's a shame because I found it useful for website that employed the "Pay to Reject cookies" model, something that is subject to scrutiny over it's legal status

I don't mind viewing sites with ads but I don't want my personal data/privacy breached in order to choose which ads I see.

It was only a matter of time, annoying but you can’t really blame them. There’s a desperate attempt to capture attention now and subs/ads will be keeping them above water.

Still unclear as to why the majority of the pay wall busters were redirecting to a Russian news site though.

I stopped using it ages ago. The objective of the site.com works a lot better.
