I want to install a 10" touch screen monitor near the front door. Its powered by a 12V 2A wall plug.
There's currently a electricity cable coming out behind where i want to wall mount it.
So obvious step is to just install a wall socket and plug in using a normal 12V transformer.
I'm just thinking of ways to make it more compact and as close to the wall as possible. So an idea is to use the electricity cable directly into a transformer/adaptor instead of via a wall plug. Like you see with LED light power adaptors.
First question is there a 12V adaptor that takes an electricity cable directly and has has a 5.5mm jack on the end?
If not can I use a LED driver to power up the monitor?
