12v drops to 9v during prime!

I started testing my system stability at 3.4Ghz.

During Prime95 Everest kept warning me the 12v was dropping down to 8.5-9.5v, this happened every 5 seconds or so, I have the sidebar monitoring and was watching it there, it kept popping up at the bottom under the temps.

Is it just a false reading?

Prime ran ok, I stopped it after 5 mins to ask about this.

temps are
40-46 idle
reached 66 under load.

Must be false surely, PSUs standards only permit them to drop fractions of a volt, and i'd think you would experience some major crashes if it dropped that low??

Verify it with a Digi Voltmeter.

Everest reports my 12v at 0.96v all the time, software readings are generally unreliable.

Guess as long as prime doesnt fail I shouldnt worry, Im gonna try for 3.6Ghz now.

Yep, that's gotta be a wrong reading.

Voltmeter it if you really want to be sure
