12v pwn motor controller as fan controller?

so i saw these on ebay,12v 5 amp pwm motor controllers and thought..hmmm..cheap fan controllers,maybe ideal for hooking multi fans upto 1.

what you guys think any good?

You probably couldn't build one yourself for that price. You'd not get any tach feedback on them though and you may find you may not get full 12v output at 100% due to losses. Still might be worth a try.
