+12v rail causing Problems with 8800 gtx ?

I would'nt trust the software to be giving accurate rail readings tbh, my 620HX shows as 11.46v in Everest,but when i tested it with a multimeter it was spot on @ 12.1v

Using a multimeter is the only sure fire way of telling how accurate your rails are ;)

good ideas just Checked with Everest and speed fans

Speedfan reads 10.67v
Everest reads 9.12v

so it looks like the rail is running Lower than it should :(
 
just found the setting in the bios and that reads 12.3v

guess its time for a multimeter, but not sure that the ones I've got access too are Sensitive enough, used for voltages of 230-400 rather than 12. ( I'm a Electrician )

where do you take the reading between what and what
at the board?
At the pci-e adapter,
At the 24 pin connecter
 
I take it from the yellow and black leads of the molex. Have u plugged in all the connectors to your motherboard? If ** PSU has 2 12v rails, u should be able to test them both.
