12VHPWR Connector

I currently have an RTX 4080 in a Coolermaster NR200P MAX mini-ITX case. I bought a custom 40mm Cablemod 12VHPWR braided cable that connects 2 of the PCI-E PSU outputs directly to the GPU power connector.

Previously the same GPU was vertically mounted in a Phanteks P500A case with a Corsair 2 x PCI-E to 12VHPWR cable. I would have bought a Cablemod 180 adapter to drop the cable straight down behind the GPU but decided to change cases.

I have a Corsair rm1200x shift which has a dedicated 12VHPWR cable. Aren't all these melting connector stories caused by these adapter cables?
 
I have a gigabyte 4080 areo oc and have used the cablemod 4090 cable with four conecters direct to psu, I had a voucher with my asus motherboard so I got it a little cheaper but these cable are good.
