I have just added another BFG 8800 GTX OC2 to my system and my 3DMarks have only increased by 2,189. Not a great deal for £300.
Now I know the performance boost SLI gives is more noticeable at higher res's, but surely during the default test in 3DMark06 you should expect more?
1 GPU 3DMark06 breakdown:
- 13,312 3DMarks06
- 5,421 SM 2
- 5,652 SM 3
- 4,377 CPU
2 GPUs 3DMark06 breakdown:
- 15,501 3DMarks06
- 5,842 SM 2
- 7,517 SM3
- 4,408 CPU
Driver version 169.25 International Version
I have tried the latest BETA driver that many people on these forums talk about (174 or something?), and found that it gave quite a few more FPS in crysis benchs, but have also found it to be a bit tempremental, so have reverted to the less performing but more stable NVIDIA release.
BTW running the same 3Dm06 test with the same hardware in XP results in a score of 16,846. Vista's Great huh!
