My old i7 1366 socket has final gone to calculator heaven :( It even took the motherboard with it.

So, looking around for something with more umph. Around £1300 for 30% Potoshopwork - 30% Internet and watching movies, 40% games, nothing too great, D3, wow, MWonline ect.

Just looking for a box, have the mouse, screen and keyboard already. Looking around, looks like i7 with 16 gig ram and a 2 gig Gcard is in order, but which works the best with each other?

Any help would be fantastic.

If you have a case you can re-use + £50 (or similar) you could upgrade your motherboard to an X79 Deluxe and have integrated Wireless AC/Bluetooth.

Thanks guys, will do some reading on these parts and see if i can get OCUK to build and ship it to me :)

On 2nd thoughts, where is the fun in someone else building it for me!!

True, but is it worth the extra £20 over those silly priced Kingston sets?

It helps should there be a ram issue causing intermittent errors. I recall 8pack explaining why a quad kit is best in an old thread in the memory section. There is a compelling reason why but struggling to remember what it is.

Has any one built a system with the Corsair ATX cube case? Does the dual case work?

I have. Really easy to work in and you can just stuff the PSU cables in the second chamber without a care in the world yet the part you do see remains tidy.

Because there are no HDD cages blocking airflow it cools really well.
