Had a few threads now, one about my build next month, few others regarding my current PC issues. I should have some money coming in the next few weeks woop. So I've now set my sights on £1300 rig. I been reading how BF3 is being used as a benchmark, personally I failed to imagine how much the game would require till I saw the screenshots today (Truthfully I'm only just converted to PC Gaming more since the games look/feel better then xbox) and WOW...but at the same time, my bank balance will be shot (No pun there)

I have my spec in my sig, which could be sold/reused?

Still got my Razer Diamond Black mouse, but could replace that and my keyboard to match the case and internal neon colours? Monitor isn't needed, but if something amazing (and not over £200) I might add that ontop of my £1300 build.

I have Windows 7 somewhere, so spec me with and without it. Just incase :)

P.S Stulid, I have faith in you

And I have noooooooo idea on water cooling things, so if that could be explained (if added to the rig) I'd be VERY thankful

You wanted a retail copy of Win7?

The motherboard is a gen3 so has the latest stuff to support Ivybridge.

Included a closed loop water cooler - http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/08/02/corsair_h80_high_perf_liquid_cpu_cooler_review/ - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8w7DZSQXFY

going by your sig the only thing even slightly worth keeping at this budget would be the hard drive, but youve had it for a while so its probably very full, which is why ive put another one in.
just noticed you said you were willing to sell the old rig. its probably best to keep it all in one package and sell it as a whole (after you transfer all your data to your new PC of course)

stulids win7 + mouse + keyboard build looks good, so i figured i'd have a go at the tower only build:

Stulid, what would your guess be on the lifespan of that PC in terms of high end gaming, and would it run BF3 max at a medium res? Overclocking wise, is it simply, go into Bio, changed Multiplier and away you go. Or abit more technical? If so, is there a bundle worth going for with that build. I don't need another disk drive and assuming I find my Windows disk, that would free up £80.
My current HDD is a Cavier Green, and in fairness, is really slow for my liking.

The life span is the best it can be.

the motherboard has all the latest stuff for graphic cards that arent even released yet (PCi-E3.0) and will take Ivy Bridge CPU's (which you need for PCI-E3.0) released in early 2012.

The case is large and high end.

Enough PSU power to add a second GTX570 for SLI (get a second hand one later next year etc?)

8Gb of RAM, 4GB is plenty for gaming right now.

Overclock the CPU to 4.5ghz easily.

Great keyboard and my favorite mouse.

--------------------------------

Overclocking you just go into the BIOS and select a speed from 4-4.8ghz, the board does the rest.

I cant believe it's that simple to OC. But I want a silent system, my room is quite warm so water cooling might be needed. But theres soo many bits, which would be needed for GFX card (I've seen some even used on the FSB but meh, is it needed)

The only graphic cards I have had that were loud were the GTX470etc.

My GTX570 is silent.

Ah ok thanks, now begs the question is my credit rating good enough for finance or wait till all the funds are ready :(
