12 weeks in jail! Possibly deserved though, it sounds like he was riding like an absolute idiot.

Sets a dangerous precident though for Youtube footage.

Always feel sorry for people getting made examples of but there is no defence for driving like an utter loon, 130mph isn't even that fast.

But he did, he didn't kill anyone, it was a victimless crime. I'm not trying to advocate this, it's despicable to drive like a loon, but I don't think 12 months in jail is anything other then a scare tactic. He knew the risks, and did it anyway, other people will have the mindset, and we just have to pay 12 months bed and board instead.

People are breaking the law as we speak up and down the country, every day people will do 120-130 because their cars will easily do it, they feel safe and because they want to get where they are going a little bit faster.

Banning him from the road and him doing community service would be more beneficial to us as a society.

But nothing went wrong, we are all safe and well, he's an idiot he has admitted that. The prison system is full to bursting, sending him to prison serves no purpose other then to make an example of a problem that will never really go away.

The guy is clearly a dumbass (he was seen doing wheelies etc as well), but tbh i don't think he's a danger to the public. Like Muffin said, banning him from the road+big fine+suspended jail sentence etc would be sufficient.

Considering this guy's sister (below) only got 6 WEEKS in prison for being 3 times over the drink drive limit, having her very young daughter in the back and crashing the car:

Feel for the guy tbh

whilst there's is no defence, and he is breaking the law, seems a trifle harsh.

And for the people saying 130mph is MEGA UBER fast, it isnt. Its too fast for the road, but just the other day (on my own private road, on a friends farm *cough* ) i achieved that in 2nd gear.

In 3rd gear my bike went from 90mph to 120mph with a twist of the throttle and a 2 second delay.
