Whats the system???

1333 mhz stuff cramps teh latest chips for bandwidth with 2133 being the sweet spot at around Cas 9.

i was under the impression that memory speed makes little real world difference can anyone link some good comparisons?

It does make a difference but for most people it is better to spend the money on a faster GPU or SSD.

If benchmarking it can make quite a difference like raising my physics score in 3dmark11 from 15500 to 17000 by winding up the memory speed and timings. But for gaming this will only give me an extra frame or two per second.

If the memory is cheap enough and someone wants to give the faster stuff a go there is no harm in it. The only question is wheather the extra performance is worth it.
