Hi guys,

I've moved in to my new house and in the front room I'm missing coving off one wall.

I've measured the existing coving that I want to match and from the ceiling to the lowest point it measures about 90mm.

I think I've worked out that the coving size is 135mm as it supposed to be measured around the curve(?)

Anyways, I'm having real issues trying to find the blasted stuff.

Any 135mm coving I do find is in the cornice style not the standard single curve.

Does anyone know where I could get any from?

I'm in Southampton, but would travel or have it shipped.

thanks all,

so the drop form the ceiling to the lowest point is 90mm? Can't say I've seen any with that spec on my travels. Any idea what kind the existing stuff is? polyurethane? plaster? plastic? etc?

I would have said just replace it all with easycove but with that drop you would have some repairing to do as the standard stuff has an 82mm drop.

Just one last thing to keep in mind - it may have an uneven projection - as in the drop from the ceiling may be a different length to the projection from the wall.

What shape profile is it?
It is probably 125mm or 5"
You measure across the face NOT inside the curve
Try that and see if it measures 125 .If so most places i.e. builders merchants and places like B+Q sell it :)

Actually you CAN get 135mm coving.I fitted some today but it is not the inside curved stuff it has a mould, think it is called plain ogee
