Is it me or did 1366 come and go rather rapidly, ive got a asus rampage 3 and my partner had a asus p6t untill it went wrong and am looking for a replacement and they appear to be rarer than rocking horse ___t..

And the ones that are available still command 100+ prices, when theres newer, better tech out there -2011..Go figure?!

Not really, got my x58 setup in November 2008 and it's now the middle of 2012, that's almost 4 years. A lot of people are still on the platform because it's still so damn good that they need not upgrade to SB, IVY or SB-E.

I use both the R3E and the RIVE and still find the R3E a very good board my gulftown still takes some beating even compaired to Sandy bridge or ivy bridge. From what I have read it may even be a better overclocker than ivy bridge.

I think top of the range socket 1366 boards are still a bit expensive because they still have some very useful features like 4 way sli on the R3E

Plenty for £100 plus , like i said, seems a little over the odds and wouldnt want a refurbed !
