How much would a Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard go for atm knowing people are upgrading to xeons?( Think i still have the box)
Me too I had 1.39 but I am now down to 1.375, I wish I had never stumble at this info, ignorance is blissGood find, I may come back down to 1.35 and see what I can get to. I'm at 1.39 now.
try going in your bios and load optimised settings . reboot then try a small overclock . that's what I had to do .
There is something fundamentally cool about running a six year old platform without any real loss in performance in todays games and software.
Chugging nicely along with my GTX 970....Not changed the case for over a deacde...Akasa Ecplise 62
That voltage article is true. But it has always been true.
We are talking about a 60 quid cpu on a six year old platform here. Keep things in perspective
May look into getting one of theee. Still run a 930 in my second system, board is a p6 x58 de which i see will take one no problem.
Owned two x58 setups, sold the one with the 920 but kept the 930 one. Since then ive been through ivybridge i5/i7, and several haswell i7's. For games they havent been a very big improvement over the 920 with a single gpu.
