Not one of those stupid variable resistor Ebay specials ;)

Ever since I bought her the throttle has seemed stiff and has been getting worse, but I have nto got around to changing the throttle cable.

Well today I did and OMG it is feather light to the point of being dangerous, the enging now revs instant and I can get the back spinning and drifftin out with the slightest of movement from my foot. I just wnat to drift round every corner (of my local private roads ahem)

It also apears that I was only using 70% of my throttle as the last 30% was soo stiff it didnt get used very oftern.

My poor rear tyres are getting a pasting :p hopefully will have got it out of my system when I come to replace them as I have yet to have the pleasure of paying for 18/255/35 rubbers and I havent even looked for a price yet ;)

All I need now is to get my Short Shift Kit fitted and the controls are all sorted (recently sorted hyrolic clutch)

Strange how such a ceap thing can effect performance so badly

How difficult was it fit the actual cable then Steve? I gota try that on my E36, the throttle is hella stiff at the moment.

pop it off the the throttle linkage in the engine bay, pop the hook out the rubber gromit in the top of the pedal ( A little fiddly to get to but not so bad)

Then poping the plastic wedge gromit thing out of the bulkhead in the engine bay proved tough but as you dont need to keep it (new cable has one) the trusty hammer and uber screw driver was implemented.

Hooked it all up jobe done 10-15 mins (tehnically no tools required)
