14" notebook £800 ish

Been scouring the net for gaming laptops that are 14"in size and are around £800. Must have:

8gb of ram
latest cpu

if you care about gaming, you should be far more concerned about GPU that about the latest CPU and amount of RAM.

I'd say Lenovo Y410p, but can't really find it in the UK.

the other ones like MSI GE40 or ASUS G46 are out of your budget.

Gigabyte's P34G look very tasty, but will be expensive again.

Gigabyte U2442D might fit the bill, you don't have much choice in the 14" size.

U2442D is with GT730m, which is weak by today's standards.

£950 13.3" laptop doesn't sound as great option when OP wants 14" for <£800.

Yea, but if he does find one that meet those requirements, you can bet the spec won't have a i7 and will only have a GT650M level GPU at best, which won't meet his other requirements neither.

If you want the best in a 14" class the Gigabyte P34G will do it, but at a cost of an extra 400 pounds.
