£1400 for 2.8Ghz MBP worth it now? or wait?

I know Apple have a big announcement at the end of Jan, and maybe it will include info about a MBP refresh.

However a guy in work is offering his barely 2 month old 15" MBP for £1400ish and its the 2.8/4Gb/512mb GDDR3 version.

Now I want to get a MBP but I am sorely tempted at this offer, as its a hell of a bargain.

I also know that MBP hold value, so even if Apple did release new info I wont loose too much if I sell it on.

My trouble is I don't know if its worth doing or not.

Any suggestions from OCUK?

Is that really a hell of a bargain? Doesn't seem low enough to be a now-or-never decision to me.

Well that spec is £1700+ on Apple site, plus it also has the anti-glare screen, so a saving of £300 seems good to me
