Ok so I've got a max limit (can't go higher, so technically £1387.50 for shipping I guess) of £1400 for my new gaming machine.

I'm going to salvage a few parts of my current PC but nothing overly important:

1 x 128 SSD (this is my games, so can't be a boot drive)
1 x 2TB HDD (this is my storage drive)
1 x Sound card

I'm more than happy to build a computer myself, but I'd rather not have to overclock it if I can get away with it.

Here's my current two options, I'm aiming for i7 (though prebuilt isn't that) and 780 to make it last at least 2-3 years before I get the upgrade itch again. Although the pre-built is i5, the fact it's all built for me and the warranty makes me lend towards that could i do better?

Thanks for any help!

Ha thanks for that :) I'll see what they will say, I'll be playing BF4 a lot for sure so maybe AMD and this mantle thing I keep hearing about may be an idea?

Thanks!

Yes Mantle is suppose to work on all GCN architectures. You also get free games with the cards could sell one of the Silver tickets that comes with one of the cards to recoup some cash:)
