Looking to buy the Corsair 650D next week.

I'll probably be replacing the top 200mm fan with a couple of 140mm ones.

I was thinking of getting a couple of Thermalright TY-140 for £8 each.

They would also match the Silver Arrow cooler I'll be getting.

Anything better out there in a similar price range?

These are worth considering also

Prolimatech 140 x140 x 25mm Blue Vortex Case Fan
Akasa 140mm Viper S-Flow High Performance Case Fan : AK-FN063
Alpenfohn 140 x 140 x 25mm Wing Boost PWM : WINGBOOST-140
Gelid Solutions Wing 14 UV Blue 140mm High Performance Case Fan

None of those are quite as good as the Thermalrights or as cheap for that matter.

Not the Vipers/Apaches but I think they are overrated. Xbitlabs did a test of the 120mm Viper a while ago and it was nothing special so I'm not holding out much hope for the 140mm variants. It just seems one of those situations where the spec sheet speaks louder than actual performance.

The Prolimatech and Alpenfohns are decent but their low RPMs limits airflow somewhat although they are very quiet whereas the Thermalright provides the perfect balance of both factors.

Consider the Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm fans also, they are a lot better than the stock Corsair ones, you can snip the LED wires if you don't want stupid lighting.

Using a couple of silverstone air penetrators here, excellent as case intakes due to the focused airflow, helped to drop 5-7c of my gpu's compared to the yate loons i had previously.

Im afraid two TY-140 dont fit on as either top or exhaust for 650D :(
checked yesterday and wondering what to do with them now... got 3 brand new ones :/
