Ok im replacing the fans in a 800D, I had bought 2 bitfenix spectres 140mm which have just arrived and from reading the specs on the back they are actually worse than the corsair 140mm fans that came with the case. I was not expecting much as they only cost a 5er each but thought they would have been better.

Can anyone spec me a good 140mm fan that would be good for use as an intake fan.

Manufacturer specs are just a lie anyway. What, in particular, is the difference between the fans and what puts you off.

ocuk lists the bitfenix as 60cfm the box they come in lists them as 47cfm. Corair list the fans that come with the 800D at 69cfm what the actual cfm of them is I dont know but I know its not going to be what they listed.

All it is I know the 800D isnt the greatest for air cooling so I want to put the best fan for the job to replace the corsair one that comes with it to try and get as much air in to help cooling as possible without going over board on the noise

Just seen Noiseblocker BlackSilentPRO PK-3are they any good ?

Hi, have a look at the Prolimatech Blue Vortex 140mm Fans, as Tealc say's manufactures fan spec's you can take with a pinch of salt as there is no set standard for measuring fan performance, but the Prolimatech Blue Vortex 140mm Fans are very good they do push out a lot of air. Used 3 by themselves until l went push/pull on my rad and they performed very well + they are very quiet did a small review on them -
