If is was getting thes it would be the high speed because I set idle at about 450-500rpm anyways so are running from about 500rpm idle to about 1050rpm full load in normal room temps and have the extra 550rpm for full load use on super hot days with dirty filters.
I've found to my ears most good fans seem silent at 400-600rpm and start being barely audible over background room noise level at about 800-900rpm at about 1.5m distance ... and above 1050-1150rpm fan noise begins interfering with other sounds in the room.
