Good day to all the Clockers!

I spawned an idea that I would love to run by you for comments please?

SO currently I am using the 400R by Corsair. Rest of my spec in my signature.

My plan is to

1) Remove the hard drive bays and move my SSD and HDD to the optical bays.

2) Add 2 x 140mm Noctua fans to replace the 120mm stock fans on the front panel. I have checked this morning and they will fit for sure...a slight bonus will be that the top 140mm will stick out about 20mm above the bottom of the optical bay area, which is exactly where my HDD will be, so I think it is perfect for cooling the HDD too?

My questions:

1) What do you think of these changes?
2) Are there any problems you see with this?
3) Are there any obvious reasons not to use 2 x 140mm instead of the stock 2 x 120mm on the front panel....(the 140's will fit)
4) 2 x 140mm with no hard drive bays in front of them will increase airflow into the case right and mean better cooling right?

Thank you all and hope you have a great day and weekend

BB

I was also going to ask what you thought of windowing the side and roof 280mm vents? I would like to keep cooling simple with air. Currently I have nothing installed in either side or roof vents and I dont plan to either. Do you see any heat problems should I look to cut those out and place windows in them instead?
