14300 in 3d mark 2001

Somethings wrong there. I get a little under 20,000 with my system at stock speeds, and X800 12 pipe @ 400mhz core, 700memory

im now getting 14853 now....im worried now. any ideas? i'm gona download a different version of 3dmark and see what i get. - what should i set the screen res to in 3dmark? i changed it from default to my screen res which is 1280x1024

oh, makes more sense now. for starters, you should be using benchmark programs with their default settings, otherwise how can we compare them? set it back to 1024x768 and try again mate:)

Your FSB is ridiculously low, and therefore your memory will be running slow as well. Hence the low score. That is where the bandwidth problem is...

right...my fsb has been adjusted to achieve my overclock so, what do i need to do to my ram settings? thisd is the ram i have Corsair 1GB DDR2 Value Select PC5300 Dual Channel Kit (2x512MB) (MY-083-CS)

for a start your only in single channel, that will kill performance.

i dont know that board but i assume its the same as any other therefore you want them in the two yellow slots for dual mode
im an am idiot! lol i'll chane that...then what should i do to overclock it...i have an ASUS board check my sig...should i just change the speed of the mem or change timings? cheers guys ** legends

by divider do you mean not having them in both dual mode as in both in yellow slots?

no he means your memory is not running the same speed as your FSB, your fsb is at 190 and your memory is only at 135mhz.

just put it in the yellow slots for now then come back here, and we will try to help you get the memory speed better.

- Put the RAM sticks in the correct slots to get Dual Channel
- Set the RAM to run at the same speed as the FSB and not 4:3

Then, raise the FSB and drop the multiplier. Ideally, you want to have it as high as possible...sorry about the earlier post, I thought you had an 820 CPU, not an 805..

and its safe to do so? my fsb is down at 720QDR so thats 180, so just set my mem to 180

As I said above, try to raise FSB and lower the multiplier. Try something like 250x15 (I'm pretty sure the CPU multiplier is unlocked for lower values).
