while i run superpi (at 1m) what were you saying about 720 not being a big jump...what would you recommend?

Carry on running it at equal to FSB till it doesnt go further (assuming voltage is as high as is safe)...this will become apparent if you try lowering the CPU multiplier and raising the FSB.

i havent been touching multiplers mate? havent seen it as an option in bios either. just been uping the fsb to achieve my clock

Well, in that case you're stuck. The problem with the 805 is the high multiplier. It gives a high clock with low FSB, which is bad for Intel CPUs (less bandwidth from the CPU to other components). The low FSB will partially nullify the effectiveness of the overclocking.

667 to 720 isnt a huge jump, and DDR2 value kits clock much better than their DDR counterparts.
Ah, I thought the memory was 533, DDR2 is so much more confusing than DDR :(

I thought Intel CPU's had lockued multiplier up and down?

I'm sure they had to be unlocked downwards for the throttling to work (by that I mean it can drop down to 14x to reduce clocks when idle). I guess thats only on the Prescotts then...

It can test cpu\memory stability as well. Memtest may pass, but thats no good if superpi cant complete a 32m calculation.

loop 22 been running for 28 mins so it looks good *touch wood* just out of couriosity how long does it take for you to take a 1m super pi test....mines 32 seconds

-this tread has become very broad, if the don's see this and they get annoyed please blame me don's its my fault :(

on the mem yeh? timins stay the same rite

Well, the system (ie both CPU and memory, by raising FSB to 200)...unless you think the memory wont run at 800mhz.

I think Superpi 32M would be roughly 32x slower than 1M, so about 17 minutes on your system.

3D MARK SCORE.................20804!!! WOOHOOO

cheers every1 that help especally sr4470 and Dutch Guy cheers!

love this place

Still not that great, but then again you only have an X800GTO@XL. Pentium 4\D arent the fastest for 3dmark either.

lol any further tips to improve the score, throw them at me guys

p.s is it possible to run ram at higher freq than fsb, so reversing the ratio
