Very recently Aquired a 32 inch 165htz 1440p monitor (been using 1440p 60/75htz for ages) and held off buying these generally much dearer screens because of the fact I own a few set ups at my home and the cost if I couldn't bear using 60htz monitors no more after moving to 144hz+ 1ms spec.
I can obviously see the massive difference but how do others handle to switch from fast to slow monitors. Do you just except it or does it annoy you? A few days into my 165htz monitor I'm finding using my other monitors and sets up quite jarring with the "slower" refresh monitors. Will this where off? will I have to replace them so I don't get htz ocd.
Thanks

On the desktop 60Hz to higher almost feels little difference. Yes you can see the cursor movement is clearer but where the higher refresh rates start to really shine is once you jump into a game. It's night and day visually and feel/tracking.

I went back from 144mhz to 75mhz and I dont find it that bad. I did notice it slightly at first but now I'm used to it I dont see any issues. However I only have one monitor one pc

If you have both, it is the best of both worlds.

It still depends on the monitor for me, light bleed and poor uniformity ruin most monitors these days. The Sony GDM FW900 is the monitor. Nothing can match that and better than both worlds.

Annoys the heck out of me.

Wanted to try the LG 35” 5120x2160 monitor for content creation and couldn’t stand going back to 60hz, even with the improvement in iq.

Even just feeling the lag in normal desktop use. 100Hz minimum for me now.

Only place I don’t really feel it is in the MacBook. Maybe it’s due to using trackpad instead of mouse.

Well I have since spent over a week with my 165htz monitor and now I've seen it up close and personal I can quite easily see the difference between 100htz and 165htz. 60 to 75 is bearly noticeable and if I'm honest even 100htz doesn't seen that smooth to me on the desktop but in game I can feel the difference between 60 and 100htz.
I suspected that once I went for high htz monitors I'd get twitchy over anything less and that has sort of happened to me. Being of sound mind hopefully still I've set my mind to understand that 60/75htz are what they are and it doesn't mean a bad experience (Jesus since 2002 I've had lcd 60htz monitors)
I've purposely been switching from different monitors (I have a few set ups) and I'm pretty sure I need not feel the need to replace my 60/75htz monitors for 144hz+.
Time will tell but I do now see exactly where all these comments and reviewers say what a massive difference the fast refresh makes. It doesn't look sharper or superior but that sense of smoothness is quite adorable for my aging eyes. Thanks again for those that advised me to stop being a girls blouse and just do it.
