Now that I have upgraded my PC I am now considering up grading my monitor from a 27 1080 to a 1440. Would love to go 32 but the space on my desk isn’t that big. Someone suggestion I go for a 32 curved monitor, heard mixed reviews on curved monitors specially when come to playing FPS games what are my favourite. Or am I thinking about this a little too much?

What's your budget?

For most a curved is a non-issue. Bigger priorities are going to be value for money, panel type, coating etc.

What GPU do you have? 1440P is ideal if you're running a mid range GPU, can max out monitor refresh rates quite easily for most modern games.

I actually recommend going 2nd hand refurbished from auction sites if you're going with an IPS/VA Panel as they usually have 1 year warranty and for the most part are sent in as new condition, as you get some really good deals now £100-200 for 180-240hz panels.

If you want an OLED then £300-500 most likely and 27" will be fine.

I am running a 9060xt, happy with o go 2nd for the right price.

£279 atm, within your budget. 180hz, so around the top end of refresh rates - beneficial for your FPS gaming.

I've actually got 2 of these monitors at the moment, have had them since last September and they've been golden. At the time, there was an insane deal on these monitors on OCUK - priced at around £149 each! The deal was so good that I had to buy 2 of them for £300! Unfortunately, the prices have normalised since then, but £279 is still decent and within your budget of course.

Alternatively, if you want 4k at 27", there are a few options around the £300 mark if you shop around, one being the MSI MAG 272URDF E16 4K. The 4k might be a struggle with the 9060XT depending on the game and what settings are used. Most recently, the new Battlefield 6 beta was possible to run at 4k on a 9060XT with decent FPS. In any case, it might be a good futureproofing option, otherwise I'd go for the 1440p recommendation I made above.
