Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a new monitor early next year and am curious to learn how a larger screen with the same number of pixels, say a 30 -32", fares at the same 16:9 resolution? Does it start to look blocky and unrefined or is there some leeway?

I'm considering either moving to something along the lines of the above or just graduating to an ultrawide or 4K (I wouldn't want to sacrifice the 144hz refresh rate if getting an ultrawide or 4K screen, though).

At this stage, I'm really not too sure. I think it will need to be an IPS screen as I use it for some light content creation and design work.

Any input/user experience appreciated, ta. :)

Thanks. Yeah, from what I've been reading over the weekend, 32" seems to be about the limit for that res.

I'm still not sure whether to go for the above or look at ultrawide/4K.

I won't be buying until early next year but I don't want to drop lower than the refresh I already have - if anything I'd like to go higher.

Other considerations are something like an IPS (for design work/light content creation) with Freesync 2/G-Sync compatibility.

A few I've been looking into:

Yes, some of the LG monitors are really nice, they're certainly among my considerations when purchasing a new screen. Cheers.
