Hi, I recently bought a 1440p Dell IPS monitor which is great for my photo work and general use but as I have been gaming more, especially playing FPS games I have been noticing the issue of tearing. I nearly bought a 980ti as they were £342 with the 4% Amazon voucher discount issue, but I thought what is the point is having a graphics card that can run games at max settings only to have the image quality ruined by tearing anyway when the framerate drops below 60 or 72fps.

Could someone please recommend me a 1440p ~25" monitor that supports gysnc and preferably freesync as well? The overclockers website appears to be terrible and not allow sorting by both resolution and gsync.

What monitor do you currently have? If your monitor is only 60hz then i recommend enabling VSync and adjusting your ingame graphics settings accordingly to maintain 60fps, if its above 60hz say, 120 or 144hz then I really wouldn't waste the money on buying an entirely new monitor when tearing will be minimized anyway. I can't see how you would exceed 60fps though with a GTX 960 @1440p. Let me know which Monitor you have and Graphics card and i can give clearer advice.
