Not sure if this is even possible, but my dilemma is such:
I have a 1440p monitor with no scaler that uses Dual-link DVI.
I have a laptop that had MiniDP.
I bought a MiniDP to DL DVI adaptor.
The above doesn't work like I had hoped. Windows 10 for the most part does not even acknowledge that the external monitor exists.
In a very specific display setting section, it does note it as TOPSYNC, but trying to extend to it, or set is as primary doesn't work. Cloning is a no-go as the laptop is limited to 1080p, and no scaler means the monitor can't downscale to 1080p.
I can't seem to figure out how to extend, but with separate resolutions, which I know should be possible.
Anyone experienced anything similar?
