Hi peeps. I've been using my Hanns-G191D without problems on my desktop system but decided to try it out as an extended display for my laptop.
Problem is that even with the correct driver/inf file installed and the monitor recognised that I don't have the option to display at 1440x900 (optimal resolution).
I've updated drivers repeatedly, installed the latest radeon mobility drivers and still no 1440x900.

Is this a known problem? I've been digging around for solutions but without success so far so any help would be gratefully accepted.

Edit: Gfx on the laptop are 9700 mobility with 128mb dedicated.

I had this problem when I got my 20" WS (1680x1050) and again when I plugged a friends PC in to it, the native resolution just wasnt in the display properties list. However, after changing the resolution numerous times to say 1024x768 then to 1280x1024 the nativen resolution suddenly appeared and I was able to select it, happened on two diff PC's, very strange (both with nvidia 6 series cards).

I've been trying that for 15mins with no success. From what I've read on various sites I've trawled through looking for help my gfx card should be able to display at this resolution but it still won't come up in the list of the catalyst control centre or standard right click props display settings

That worked but I wasn't happy using that alone so I installed the omega drivers and fiddled about some more, finally got the resolution up and hey presto the monitor kept saying the signal was out of range plus I couldn't see the display options anymore but persisted and guessed which way to tab to get the confirmation, restarted it and it works fine now :)
