I'm looking to buy a monitor for gaming but I also want it to give a good movie watching experience with accurate colors etc.

I'm not entirely sure what to look for in the specs on paper. Also, ff someone has hands-on experience with one or more of these monitors, some info would be highly appreciated.

Don't have a huge amount of experience of the Asus but its probably your best bet of those I certainly would have a hard time reccomending the BenQs if you want anything remotely like accurate colors.

all the models are TN Film based, and so you'll have similar restrictions in terms of viewing angles for movie viewing. It's generally not a technology considered great for movies because of the viewing angles. Out of the box colours on the BenQ's are not good, but only because they come by default in the gamer orientated preset modes designed to offer bright, vivid (but unrealistic really) colours. That's easy enough to change from the preset mode menu though. The Asus VG248QE is probably your best choice i think personally and a very good gamers screen . You can also benefit on those models from using the LightBoost backlight system for motion blur reduction which really improves gaming quite noticeably:

yep indeed, or hang on a bit for the pre-modded versions of models already integrated with G-sync from BenQ, Viewsonic and Asus

Just buy them all :p

I use the BenQ one while it is 120hz version I do really like it. Has others have posted might now be better to wait for Gsync versions.
