144hz + 60hz

Hi, sorry if this seems like a stupid question but is it possible to have a main monitor of 144hz and keep my old 60hz one as a second monitor?

If so will this cause any problems or make the 144hz one perform worse than being used on its own?

Got gtx 480 in sli. My benQ 144hz and dell 60hz connected up on the same card just fine
