Been thinking about changing my monitor, currently a 24" IIyama (E2473HDS) with something GSync enabled as I hate tearing/juddering in games.
So I've been looking at the Acer Predator XB240H (don't have the space for a 27"). But I'm uncertain how this would go with my current setup, generally I run with VSync/Adaptive VSync which caps things at 60FPS, the refresh of my monitor.
With the new monitor being 144Hz and my rig being unlikely to get that frame rate how would the new monitor handle games running at a much lower framerate, Crysis3 for example running at an average 50-55FPS? I'm assuming this is where GSync would kick in and smooth things out.
Or should I hold off spending the money on a new monitor? I'm looking more as a whim than a specific issue with my current monitor.
Of late I've not been playing many PC games, those I do tend to play are; BF4/FC4/StarCraft and WoW. Later on I will end up buying the next Nvidia GFX card, 980TI or whatever non-Titan card comes out.
