I am trying to find out if a 144hz monitor using normal Vsync, will be the same, better or worse compared to a standard monitor at 60hz Vsync? Will it have frame doubling or any other problems that make 144hz with normal Vsync actually look worse than normal Vsync on a 60hz monitor? (If the 144hz monitor is running at 72, 48, 36 fps vs 60hz/60fps on the 60hz monitor)..
I am looking at buying a 144hz freesync monitor but I don't know if I will be getting an AMD card this year so obviously I do not want to be buying a 144hz screen and finding it looks worse than a normal 60hz or 72hz screen when using normal Vsync. Vsync at 144fps will be better, Vsync off will look better on 144hz and Freesync will look better... But what about normal Vsync on a 144hz screen at 72fps / 48fps / 36fps.. Will that look worse than normal Vsync 60fps on a 60hz screen?
