144hz on display port 1.2 cable

For some reason, i can't run my 144hz monitor on display port.
Dual DVI is fine but DP just gives me 59 or 60hz.

It's a 1070gtx on an AOC g246aoc (144hz 1080p TN 1ms pannel)

Any ideas? I've tried everything, reinstalling drivers etc.

THe cable is rated as

• 2m • DisplayPort 1.2 • 21.6 Gb/s bandbredd • Ledare av ren koppar • Guldpläterade kontakter • Maxupplösning: 5120x2880 i 30Hz • Stödjer Ultra HD - 3840x2160 i 60Hz

Other places are saying it should be doing 240hz at 1080p technically....

If it's the monitor I'm thinking it is then it's 144Hz via dual link dvi only.

There was an updated version later on I seem to remember which fixed the dp 144Hz

yeah, that pretty much looks like the monitor in question.
When you say updated do you mean a firmware or a whole new revision of the hardware. Im expecting hardware but im hoping a firmware maybe.
Its not a huge deal ill stick to DVI. I was looking to upgrade soon anyway and use this for a second screen or pass on to GF.
